Do you ever get the feeling that some days are simply longer than others? Today is definitely one of those days!
A little update from Paris - it is COLD. Like 2 sweaters in the house, tights under sweatpants under a floor length skirt type COLD. I've been snuggled up on my couch, working at my computer from dawn through the evening - no exaggeration. Luckily, I like the work that I do, otherwise I'm sure this exhaustion would have morphed into an untameable rage hours ago.
But I'm blessed! I need to remind myself of that right now, to keep things in perspective. It's easy to get caught up in the feeling that things aren't happening, that the world is at a complete standstill (or on fire, depending on the mood) - and those are the moments I need most to remind myself that I am lucky to be alive, in my (relatively) warm home, lucky to be drowning in work that I'm passionate about, lucky to have so many loved ones to worry about and subsequently check in with.
And so, to keep track of these reminders, to keep track of time in a moment where it feels like time barely exists at all, I've decided to start writing in this blog. I'm not sure where it will go from here, but as long as it keeps going, I'm sure it will be worthwhile.
I've got to dive back into photo selection for the next week, but here's checking in. Thank you for being here, for taking interest in this project (and I guess, by extension, my life?!). I am working on so many cool things that I can't wait to share with you, just be a little patient with me. Good things come to those who wait ;)
Love love love,
